The 2025 Sakura Festival will take place Saturday, April 5, 2025
Join us for the 2024 Downtown Akron Sakura Festival, presented by Downtown Akron Partnership. We’ll celebrate the 450+ cherry blossom trees that bloom along the Towpath Trail in downtown Akron and Ohio & Erie Canal Park, with activations at multiple points along the trail.
We will be making kites in the parking lot of the Spaghetti Warehouse, 510 S Main St bldg. 33, Akron, OH 44311

This one will be just a talk about the history of kites. I will doing a slide presentation and talk. If you want to learn more about your kite come on down.
This one is open to the public and I do not have a number of kids yet.
Our monthly “Free Fly” where members get together to show off their latest kites or tell their latest stories of where they have been. We also are there to help anyone who has any problems with a kite they have with them.
Plug in “Edgewater Park , Cleveland, Ohio into your map program and follow the directions. Look for the banners.

Hello!We are the biggest library in Ashtabula county and I would like to put together a local Kite Festival, to be held in April or May. We have a lovely open field next to our library and also access to the local beaches not far away. Do you know anyone who might be qualified and interested in coming to our library to talk about kites and kite flying? We would really like to have an “expert” speak on the subject.
